Privacy Policy

This Privacy Policy explains how PrimBuzz ("we", "us", or "our") collects, uses, and retains information in connection with our advertising service in Second Life and this website. By using the service you agree to this policy.

1. Information we collect

• Advertiser information: your Second Life avatar name and unique identifier (UUID), the region and location of activity, the content you submit (ad image reference, notecard, landmark), your rental and payment records, and any messages you send us.
• Interaction data: when a resident clicks an advertisement, we record the clicking resident's avatar name and UUID, the board and region involved, and a timestamp, so your notecard and landmark can be delivered and so we can report activity.
• Visitor and traffic data: we may record avatar presence and visit information near our objects and regions, such as name, UUID, arrival time, and duration, to measure traffic and improve the network.
• Website data: standard server logs, and an admin session cookie used only for our staff login. The public site does not require accounts or set marketing cookies.

2. How we use information

• To operate the service, display advertisements, and deliver notecards and landmarks to interested residents;
• To process rentals and keep transaction records;
• To provide analytics and reporting, and to detect and prevent abuse and click fraud;
• To provide support and communicate with you.

3. How information is shared

We do not sell your personal information. Information is processed within the Second Life platform operated by Linden Research, Inc., and stored on our hosting provider. When a resident clicks your ad, the notecard and landmark you provided are delivered to that resident. We may disclose information if required by law or to protect our rights.

4. Data retention

We retain records, including transaction, click, visitor, and traffic data, for as long as needed to operate and improve the service, unless you request deletion or we choose to remove it. There is no fixed automatic deletion period. You may request deletion of your data as described below, and we will honor reasonable requests unless we are required to keep the data.

5. Your choices and rights

You may contact us to request access to, correction of, or deletion of the personal information we hold about you. To make a request, reach us in-world via the support avatar listed on the Contact page. We may need to verify your identity before acting on a request.

6. Second Life platform

Our service runs inside Second Life, which is operated by Linden Research, Inc. Your use of Second Life is also subject to Linden Lab's own privacy policy and terms, which we do not control. PrimBuzz is not affiliated with Linden Lab.

7. Eligibility

The service is intended for adults who are eligible to use Second Life under Linden Lab's requirements. It is not directed to children.

8. Security

We take reasonable measures to protect the information we hold, but no system is completely secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.

9. Changes

We may update this policy from time to time. Continued use of the service after changes take effect constitutes acceptance of the revised policy.
